Situated on Changchun Road, Taipei City, this project is adjacent to Dunhua N. Road, the city’s most sought-after business district. MAA was placed in charge of the architecture, landscape and interior design aspects (i.e., from the devising of the initial design concepts to the execution of every spatial detail) and compared the entire project to a mine of precious ore. Inspired by the form of a mine vein and its underlying ideas, the elaborately designed door way, facade and landscaping together signify MAA’s commitment to urban open space. Through the arrangement of landscaping details, the project displays the profuse movement of water, some creative ideas about rainy days and seasons, as well as how a piece of public art adds to the dramatic and humorous qualities of its surroundings.
